COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN A CLASS, A SEMINAR OR A LECTURE WITH JEAN
You are an exceptional speaker. Your deep knowledge of so many areas and places is impressive. You tell all with the passion of storytelling… your lectures always engage the mind with new thoughts and learning. Thank you.
Susan Puelo. Fort Lauderdale.
Jean Joseph Renoux has been on our distinguished faculty for more than twenty-nine years.
Throughout his tenure, he has been and continues to be, a pleasure to work with. His art and architecture lectures are extremely well attended. Students come back year after year, to hear his lectures on the vast array of subjects that he presents. His presentations are remarkably spontaneous, he rarely uses notes, but he stays on track drawing from his incredible knowledge of history from Medieval times to the present. His PowerPoint presentations never fail to impress. He speaks clearly and exemplifies everything with a deep understanding of the subject at hand. He adds interesting historical backstories and anecdotes that few presenters would know. Jean keeps his audience attentive with an energetic demeanor and humorous asides, fielding questions with ease and respect for the audience. The Longboat Key Education Center offers over 175 programs every season for adult enrichment and lifelong learning. We have been in operation for 33 years. Jean Joseph Renoux is one of our most highly regarded faculty members. I would recommend him for any speaking engagement without hesitation.
Sincerely,
Susan Goldfarb, Executive Director, The Longboat Key Education Center
You turn what could be a tedious, monotonous experience in to one of enlightenment and entertainment.

"Good Evening Jean, Thank you for your amazing presentation on Wednesday! You were definitely a Hit! I have had so many RCLA members and Ringling College staff contact me, praising your program and requesting your participation in RCLA Presents next year. I believe we all learned more than we ever knew about Picasso's life and now have an enhanced appreciation for his creativity and artistic vision. Wishing you all the best." Kathleen France, Ringling College Library Association - Presents Chair
I wanted to comment on how happy I am to see you offering courses back here again. Your classes have been the most memorable, interesting, and enjoyable that I have taken since licensing in '89. As I mentioned, the personal touch you give...your expressiveness, humor-(sometimes wry wit and cynicism), insight, and tremendous knowledge of little-known facts-(at least to me, who used to teach art, art history, and even has architectural experience), has captivated me so much, I either remember or re-read notes I took in your class. I won't call them trivia, but they are timeless and have added so much to my appreciation of architectural and Interior Design. elements. When I took your class years ago on ancient to medieval architecture, I was blown-away by some of these things you imparted.
I cannot thank you enough for all the pearls of wisdom you have given me. I think there is no greater gift than knowledge, and your classes make it easy for us to remember. I really look forward to experiencing your class in may. Thank you again,
Dianne W. Urgo, Plantation, Florida
As an architect, I have taken many of Jean's continuing education courses. I have always found him entertaining, informative and very helpful. Jean has a unique style that is fed from his upbringing, his passion and his desire to make the world a better place. Taking his courses you will not only learn the subject matter, you will be challenged and pushed to develop your views of architecture and the world we live in. I absolutely endorse Jean Renoux and the courses he offers at IAATS
Rick Hampton, Architect/Owner at Design Collaborative
"Best art lecture I have ever heard!"
Susan Goldfarb, Executive Director, The Longboat Key Education Center. (Picasso and his Women)
I have listened to Jean speak at CEU courses for interior designers & architects. He is very thorough in his subject & provides detailed knowledge of period furniture, building design technologies, & code regulations. He also provides self-paced home courses with the same in-depth detail. Jean is one of the best CEU providers I dealt in honesty, integrity, & promptness in answering any design questions. I will definitely take more courses with Jean.
Stewart Berman, Telesco Architects.
Since 2002, I have attended Jean Renoux's Architectural Continuing Education Seminars on 6 different occasions. Jean is not only extremely knowledgeable, but he is also very entertaining. He never follows a script, has an impeccable memory, and always tells great true life stories that he masterfully incorporates with the subject matter. With the vast amount of material he covers, it is always great hearing about a little drama, dirt and gossip that occurred during historical times. He is brutally honest, never boring, which makes the day go by at a faster pace. His slide presentations are top quality. Every time I attend Jean's Seminars I always leave with a better understanding of Architecture, Green Architecture, Sustainable Design, and what we can do as individuals help preserve our planet for the next generation. I highly recommend Jean Renoux and his firm IAATS as a provider for CE Seminars.
Earl Mark Kaplan, Architect

Jean is extremely knowledgeable, interesting and organized with respect to his presentations & seminars. I have taken many of his tours abroad as well as the local classroom lectures.
The tours have been consistently insightful; an educational adventure not to be missed or forgotten.
I've always been able to apply much of Jean's instruction to my Interior Design practice and my views of the world. Thank you, Jean.

Tom Garrett, Chair, Associate Professor , Dept. of Communication, Film & Media Studies at The University of New Haven
WithTom Garrett as Executive Producer, I worked on two full feature-length movies, as Production Designer, who decide with the Director of Photography of the film stock's colors. Also a s Production Designer, I have to create sets built by the Construction Crews, find the proper location to shoot some scenes with the Location Scouts, work with Costume Designers, to make sure that the clothing are in tune with the story, the period and the places. I started this profession as a helper set designer, production assistant, script editor, in 1967, on the film Le Socrate, directed by a great abstract painter, Robert Lapoujade. It is political, philosophical, bizarre, with strange characters that appears or disappears for no apparent reasons. The film is filled with inventions and surprises. It won the Special Prize of the Jury at the Oldest and second most important Film Festival in the World, La Mostra, in Venice, Italy.
“Although I've had courses in art, architecture, history, and design, they never came alive and blended together like they did in this presentation. This is the only way design should be presented! Everything I had ever read or learned previously now has meaning. I can truly understand and appreciate the purpose and intent of interior design and architecture. This course makes me want to be a better designer.”
Sherry Ruggieri, Turnersville, New Jersey

Jean,
I enjoy taking courses that you are providing to Architects like myself. I find they are a very refreshing change to the normal product courses that are offered, even though they are very educational and much appreciated, the courses offered by Jean are also very educational and help provide a well-rounded knowledge base which helps provide how various types of materials and products may be used in the construction industry and have been so demonstrated by looking back at how buildings have performed over time utilizing various products and materials.
In my opinion any product, material manufacturer or trade association would be providing the architectural community a very strong knowledge base for which to incorporate products and materials into new projects. Also I believe that the Architectural community would support any sponsor providing continuing education that Jean may provide and would suggest giving him a try by stepping out of the box.
